Christmas Eve

I know it's March and I'm just getting around to Christmas. I have a lot of catching up to do-- a lot!

Here are some pics from Christmas Eve. After church and eating dinner with Aunt Allison, Uncle Matt, Katie, and Matthew. We came home to a family tradition and opening a few gifts.

Each year, the boys unwrap a baby Jesus to place in the empty mangers.

The "fancy" manger scene is their favorite, so in their opinion Adam was the winner this year.

Personally, I prefer this scene. Our mangers stay empty until Christmas Eve.

The boys have also been asking for Bibles.

Each year, our church has a Christmas store for the kids to come and buy handmade gifts for their families. The gifts are very inexpensive and the store wraps them up. You send you child to church with a few dollars and they come back with gifts for everyone! Our boys love it. All proceeds go to our sister church in Haiti. Adam had picked out this blinged out box for Grammy. The store had two, so we surprised him with his own. Adam is our collector and loves putting things in containers. He was so excited to have his own blinged out box!

This was probably the sweetest moment of our entire Christmas. Patrick decided to make a Lego kit for dad. It was a kit for Anakin's Starfighter. Patrick assembled the kit but included directions on how to reassemble if the ship broke. He was very insistant that dad read the instructions.
